Tree Project Vote
The vote for the tree project did not have enough members(both in person and mail=in votes) to qualify for a quorum.
This makes tree project dead and null at this point.
At the next monthly board meeting the board will need to determine what to do next (for example: put together a new plan, try another vote on the old plan,
or just drop the project entirely).

Tree removal
Flanders' logging has started in the common areas. The map has the common areas marked in blue, and we are making an attempt to follow the numbers for the project. This project can take some time, as the company has other jobs to do and they will work on ours as time allows. The lumber that has value will be sent to mill and 5% of the mill price will be sent back to the board. The long range goal is to replant trees that do not grow tall enough to be dangerous to surrounding properties. The plan for the common area West of the "P" is to have all the brush removed to increase visibility and create a decent trail where our kids walk to school, and to act as a deterrent against unauthorized use. That is marked with an "A" on the map and we are currently gathering quotes to have that done. There will be updates added as each new section is started. Flanders is also offering to remove trees in homeowners properties at discounted rates while they are here, so be sure to call Bob Flanders at (253) 341-1394 to get a personal quote.

Removing trees from the parks
We have started a new project of removing the tall trees from the parks & some other common areas. The trees we are removing are over 40 ft tall and could pose a danger to nearby homes. This will be an ongoing project that will take months to complete. We are also planning to plant new trees that will only grow to a maximum height of 30-40 ft to help keep things green and provide shade. The tree removal service that we are working with can also remove trees for residents at a discounted rate.

New meeting day and time
The board voted & approved that the monthly meeting will be moved back to the first Monday of the month. The day was changed over a year ago to try to get more
members to attend the meetings. It did not have the desired effect and has been changed back to Mondays.
The time has also been changed from 6pm-7pm to 6:30pm-7:30pm to help members be able to attend the meetings after work on Mondays.
